This means that all vehicles that have come to their end of life will have
to go to an Authorised Treatment Facility (ATF) to be depoluted
before they can be dismantled at a scrap yard or put through a bailer or similar method of disposal. The changes in Legislation will put a stop to vehicles being weiged in at scrap metal sites, without being depolluted first.
This will result in the situation that prevailed a few years ago,
where increasingly vehicles will be abandonded.
Hear at the End Of Life Centre we have already taken
the initiative to put us in the position to deal with the above changes.
For the last 18 months we have been processing cars to a higher standard than
required by the new Directive and have every intention of keeping ahead
of any further legislation.
